If you are like most quilters, you love to piece those quilt tops but are then faced with the dilemma of how to handle that large quilt in a small home sewing machine. Hand quilting is one option but that is going to take months and you just don't have that kind of time.
Machine quilting is becoming more and more popular in today's busy world. Machine quilting is also more durable than hand quilting so when trying to decide between hand or machine ask yourself if this quilt will be washed a great deal and if so I would recommend machine quilting.
I do all the machine quilting myself using a Gammill professional long arm quilting machine. I do hand guided or freehand quilting and just recently added a computerized system the Intelliquilter or IQ to machine giving me much more intricate and detailed designs. Watch for many new designs to be posted on my website. I am able to give your quilt more detail than you can achieve using a home sewing machine. I have been machine quilting for over 10 years using the hand guided system so the addition of the computerized system simply adds to what I can do.
Your options to choose from.
- A pattern quilted on your quilt top from edge to edge. So many of the patterns give a wonderful custom quilted look without the expense of custom quilting.
I have done many quilts with applique and/or other styles of quilts that you would normally think would need custom work and the edge to edge quilting works wonderful as long as you choose the right type of quilting pattern.
- Custom quilt your quilt top.
I offer many choices and price ranges to suite your individual needs. Turn around time depends on current schedule (the machine is never empty) and complexity of your choice. The Average time is 4 weeks.
The above are estimated turn around time, this could be a shorter time but I do strive to never miss a deadline so it will not be any longer unless otherwise agreed upon.
Feel free to call for an appointment or telephone consultation. Thank you and I look forward to quilting for you.
